Rose Quartz – Pantone’s Colour of 2016

Every year the famous colour company PANTONE introduces a ‘Colour of the Year’.  In 2016 it claimed two colours: Rose Quartz (pale pink) & Serenity (pale blue).

This cocktail ring is all about the beauty of the gemstone Rose Quartz. The glowing pale pink of this Rose Quartz smooth stone, is set in 18ct gold, sitting pretty on an oval of sterling silver, with a double ring shank of silver.

As PANTONE puts it: ‘Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure.’ Whatever you think about their sentiment, this soft pink stone is beautiful for sure.

When I was making this ring, I had completed all the individual elements by hand, and they were sitting on my work bench, literally looking at me, hence this Twitter post:
