Every year during the first week of September the UK’s biggest jewellery fair IJL (International Jewellery London) takes place in London’s Olympia – a stunning location.
This year I travelled from Dublin on a mission to acquire gemstones for commissioned jewellery pieces and also for creating new collections ahead of craft fairs in Manchester, Cardiff and Cork.
I chatted with new suppliers and said hello to many more that I have met over the years. After a very full day at IJL I had my gems and pearls bought; they’re now sitting in my studio ready to be made into new handmade jewellery creations.
Next up for me is the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair (GNCCF) in Manchester from 6th to 9th October (see my post on GNCCF here). If you’re in the northwest of England do call in and say hello, my jewellery and I will be at Stand No. 90.
